Want some honest opinions - will the beard get us there?

Will it be the next star?

What do you think is a realistic timeframe before we get our next ring?

Personally I think we need to get one and will get one in the next 3-4 yrs

I think it'll take us a few years, atleast two. I wouldn't even be surprised if it was five or six years down the line with another superstar, and Harden in a "aging superstar" role a la Kawhi and Duncan in 2014.

When was the last time a 1 superstar led team won a ring in NBA? Harden needs at least one more true superstar type player to just challenge realistically.

DM might be able to piece it together on the fly for Les, but we'll likely have to wait for him to sell/relinquish control. A pure Morey rebuild (not a pretense of "reloading" when we're not really going to have enough to get there) is what I've always wanted. It takes out the extremely narrow margin of error/huge downside risk and puts the odds on our side instead of swimming against the current/playing musical chairs. We could embed a TRUE culture while playing to our strengths....Give the Wiz TIME ...Let that Houston Rockets culture grow organically..tended to by our crew.
I know with Beard/Le$ this isn't happening.... I DO believe with the right coach/players, James could lead us to titles.
That said, I have almost zero faith in MDA and the high scoring entertainment train that represents Leslie's "vision" producing anything but some regular season wins followed by quick postseason exits.

If you were around in the 90's it happened when dream changed. He realized the team was bigger than himself. Everyone else on that team fell in line and got HUNGRY. I don't see that hunger yet. Harden has the talent. Question is does he have the dedication. Does he have the DRIVE it takes. I just have not seen it yet. I will be VERY interested in how he comes out this season. He has a system, some shooters, no excuses not to be an MVP candidate this year.

How can we win a trophy or rings when the team has not been to the Finals in many years.

You have to get amount of Final appearances first.

Not while Les is the owner. We'll need to draft a generational player like Hakeem or Lebron to do that.

When we can beat a GSW team + Durant in a 7 game series.

    So... not any time soon.
