Kings, Knicks, Lakers, Clippers, or some other team? It's early but sure doesn't look like any of the 4 mentioned teams can turn it around.
Are we not going to consider the Mavs in this? Deandre is a great piece to a built team, but he built his rep on batting cleanup. Now the mavs have who? CP25, Dirk in a wheelchair, and Deandre? They got nothing for Rondo in the end as well.
In my opinion, Lakers and it is not even close. The only reason I say that is because the real reason why they are suffering is so obvious and no one in LA wants to admit it: No one wants to play with their legend. It is so fun to watch. Lakers might have the best history in the NBA and here they are begging for second meetings with LMA. In terms of desperation, Sacramento and Knicks. The Clippers' off season sucks just because it is the first step to their removal of contention conversation after a lifetime of misery. But, I still think it is hilarious watching the Lakers crumble.
this. lol almost every single player is turning down a higher offer from them to play elsewhere. they created cap space and sacrificed picks/the future to sign guys like ellis and matthews and even bev, but they keep getting spurned. must suck to be a kings fan outside of cheering for Boogie.
I'll echo everything that has been said about the Kings and add the FO/HC turmoil and the uncertainty surrounding Boogie. Even the deal with Rondo was almost exclusively favorable to him as opposed to the team. Who were they bidding against that they agreed to that deal? They reek of ineptitude and desperation especially with the new arena opening up.
Clippers just went from contenders to ... not contenders. The other teams were bad are are still bad, so it's got to be the Clippers.
Kings have a problem at owner, coach, chemistry, being in a small market etc. Poor sports-loving people who are stuck living in Sacramento.
I absolutely agree that Kings have had a TERRIBLE off season. But, uhh... isn't every off season a terrible off season for the Kings?
Better than last year? Yeah ok Losing Monta and Chandler was a big hit. Deandre is a good player, but he doesn't even out those losses. Not even close. That also doesn't take into account losing Barea or Aminu either.
They have Lillard for the forseeable future though. Sac and Portland have secured mediocrity, but at least they have that. Clippers are dark horses, but they're still potential threats. Lakers? No hope lol. Better pray Russell and Randle become superstars.
Kings. Which team has its newly hired head coach about to force out its by far best player, who actually was loyal to the team, in addition to signing no one and only making bad deals?
oh yeah i forgot about karl. right from the getco he wreaks havoc lmao that was awful. not a good time to be a kings fan
Clippers, Blazers Both are loosing all star caliber players for nothing. Cant be the Lakers IMO, sure they haven't gotten anybody, but they also haven't made any bad signings or lost any body important.
The Kings by far... And it's not even because the free agents turned them down. You start with the internal turmoil that has your (newly hired) HoF coach clamoring to ship out your franchise player, and then the ridiculous trade that's having them trade a first rounder and TWO pick swap rights just to to clear salary cap space for Rajon Rondo and Marco Belinelli... The Kings can tell you all about how to do terribly in the present AND sacrifice your future in one fell swoop.
