All I know is that we will find out really quick if its true that NBA players go on special missions to shut down guys that get paid big contracts & get a lot of attention that they feel isn't deserving (I think we saw that first hand with Lin). Chandler has no idea was is coming his way & the criticisms that come along if he doesn't perform the way he thinks he will. I have a feeling every wing player in the league has paid attention to the attention he has received, his thoughts on wanting to be a superstar, and most of all... his new paycheck, and will use that as a personal motivating factor in games this season. All the while.... Dirk has to be smiling about that. Chandler Parsons.... 6 for 20 night after night... Dirk.... easiest 23PPG season he's ever had.
Parsons thinks he will have a great season as a Mav. 1) Well the defenders of the league know who the new diva is, and they are looking to shut him down for good. Him and Dirk, Dirk can shoot his way out but I don't think Parsons can. 2) They will probably leave Monta more open and focus on Parsons. If that is the case Monta is reverting back to his trigger happy days and Parsons can't get the space to shoot. Loss - loss situation could be easily the case.
