UPDATE: 1/7/2013 5:47pm <HR> 6'1 guard Patrick Beverley will join our Rockets, as far as I know. Jure Zdovc, head coach of Spartak SPB, also confirmed that just a few minutes ago Beverley was cut by Heat and Bulls after training camp in the last few years. He's gifted and extremely athletic player. Once he jumped over 7'1 guy during SDC He was a member of US team in FIBA Under-19 World Championship, alongside Steph Curry, Michael Beasley, DeAndre Jordan and former Rockets players Jonny Flynn and Donte Greene He played in Ukraine, in Greece for Olympiacos (he was terrific defending Ricky Rubio in Euroleague Finals that year, he ate him alive on D) and in Russia, when he became a dominant player. He was named Eurocup MVP last season. This is the second best international tournament among clubs in Europe He already said bye-bye to russians in his twitter and he wrote that he's coming to the NBA

NICE. This should hopefully round out the backcourt and give Lin and Harden more breathing room as facilitators since Machado isn't there yet. Especially given the marathon roadtrips next month. Hopefully they're moving Cook or Aldridge to make the roster space and not any of the rookies.
Interesting.... I guess the Rockets saw enough of Machado in the D-League to go ahead and make up their minds long term about him. I thought he had some talent as a potentially great open court passing PG, but I guess there are too many other holes in his game to fix before he becomes affective in all the other areas he will need to be efficient in to be a rotation NBA PG. Either that or they are waiving Royce White... doubtful though. It almost has to be Machado.
I doubt it. I reckon Machado will simply be waived. An Italian site makes a claim the Rockets paid a $1 million buyout. No idea how credible this site is though. Link: basketnet.net
I think that is the most likely event. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Morey plans to include TD in a trade.
