How the mighty have fallen. He's never coming back to the Association again. Maybe as an assistant, maybe.
Yay! What about Marbury? Is he coming back? I'd love to see Steve school Marbury, John Lucas III and Smush Parker in China.
Francis truly loves Houston. He should play for the team that Yao owns. Then maybe he can get citizenship in China and play with Yao on their national team. That would be kind of interesting to see.
Steve happened to Steve. He got too big for his head. He's like Ron Artest without the physique. SF3 was good, but he had an attitude that was hard to work with. When he got older his skills faded and all he had left was the "I'm Stevie Franchise attitude". That and the fact that when the NBA killed off iso-ball players like SF3 were left in the dust. I still contest, if he could learn to be coached he could have easily won as many rings as kb24.
...for the record, I think ROY Tyreke Evans will end up following a similar career path. He seems "Franchise like" enough that I cringe at some of the things he does on the court similar to when I used to watch a young Francis. Shoot first PGs who rely solely on overwhelming athleticism don't tend to age well unless they learn to adapt and Stevie wasn't learning anything. Let's hope Evans doesn't disappoint as well.
...will play in the first 5 games, avg 12ppg, and then call it quite with another season ending surgery to repair his heart..
Gun to your head, it's draft night and you have a choice between a Steve Francis or Rajon Rondo, who do you take? Everyone takes Francis but wishes they took Rondo. Everyone...
...taking a que from Morey I trade down a few picks, pick up a 2nd rounder the next year and still take Rondo.
...if only Houston could have taken Stevie's heart, put it in Tmac's body and given them Chuck Hayes' work ethic. We would dominate.
