It looks like they do a show from a conference room.

he doesn't sound very happy at all thus far...still wants to see an improvement on our offense and thinks the jazz are a hotter team than us right now and wasn't very optimistic on us getting the 1 seed

I listened to it a couple hours ago, but from what I remember:

    • most positive thing about the season so far has been Landry's play
    • their thinking in the offseason was that Chuck would eventually be used more as a defensive specialist off the bench, rather than a starter
    • defense has been very good
    • offense still isn't where it needs to be
    • the hard work Shane, Scola, and Yao bring in the starting lineup can help energize other guys who've been in the league for a long time but came in very young (er ... who could that be?)

I honestly believe this is Tmac's last chance as a Rocket, if he doesn't play hard, they will trade him for 50 cents on the dollar in the offseason.

I just watched the first quarter again....Tmac was playing extremely disinterested...letting his guy go....just pure laziness.

Deke actually came into Denver out of Georgetown when he was fairly old, 24 or 25.

Yeah, holy crap. Makes you wonder why he felt compelled to speak out publicly.

You can tell, I think the reason the offense isn't as good as it can be...yet, is because Tmac is still not moving off the ball like he needs to, he is still finding his way.

Notice how Rafer is instituting a lot more of the offensive sets, waving Tmac to the corner?

And then the team is running and Tmac is trotting up behind......eventually (HOPEFULLY) Tmac will buy in completely and move his arse up the floor...

Because if that happens the offense will really take off.

I just listened to the podcast and didn't catch the mention the previous poster said about those guys energizing other guys? Maybe I missed it.. or maybe he summed it up wrong. I didn't hear any shots taken at Tmac though. Morey sure doesn't sound happy for someone who is willing to stand pat at the deadline..

EDIT: It wasn't really a direct shot at Tmac..

"We've got most of our players in their prime, but we do have a lot of players who played many years because they came in the league so young.. Les said it the other day when he was talking about it to a reporter.. when you have a lineup of Luis, Shane, Yao.. no way to not play hard"

Maybe a slight shot, but not as bad as what was implied earlier.

    • Him, players, Adelman disappointed with slow start and how long it took to get over that
    • Most pleasant surprise has been Landry. Saw him as contributing over time, didn't expect him to play as well as quick as he has. Landry was different than other draft options - thought Carl was more athletic and diverse offensively
    • When you have lineup of Luis, Shane, and Yao - no way not to play hard
    • Offense improving.. but still not where we want to be
    • Defensively - we're where we want to be
    • too many miscues on offense.. still have trouble getting Yao the ball.

Just listened to it again. Paraphrasing:

    regarding rookies:

Do the 3 rookies bring something that allows veterans to feed of their enthusiasm?
yes, we have a lot of players in their prime, but also players who've played many years because they came into the league so young ... [focusing on Luis's impact] when you have a lineup of Luis, Shane, and Yao there's no way not to play hard.

    regarding offense:

It's improving, but not where we need it to be. Too many miscues on offense, still have trouble getting Yao the ball. We don't take advantage of the attention he gets as much as we can.
