I made a thread similar to this last year: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=122472 I'd like to use the same voting system, which I "borrowed" from NeoGAF. Basically, list a minimum of 3 games and a maximum of 10 games that you think deserve to be GOTY. The order that you list the games determines the amount of "points" each game gets, and you can put "gaps" between games so that more deserving games get more points. I gave an example in the old thread in case you're confused, but here's another: 1. Mass Effect 7. COD4 8. Halo 3 Here, ME would get 10 pts, COD4 would get 4, and H3 would get 3. I still have a little bit of gaming to do before I think I can do this (want to play more of SMG and Assassin's Creed), so I probably won't vote until a couple of days from now. I'm sure some of you are getting some new games during the holidays, so that should leave some time to play those games as well. If you vote early, but then decide to change it, just let me know in a post or something. Additionally, if you want to use the categories that some of the professionals do, you can add what games you think are the best 360/Wii/PS3/PC/Handheld game, the best RPG/Shooter/Music/etc. game, the game with the best story, best original score, etc.
1. Call Of Duty 4 3. Team Fortress 2 (the game play never gets tiresome) 5. Bioshock (still haven't beat it...got it when it first came out.....never was really into it, but it's a cool game) Just bought myself another 8800 gpu. going to test this new puppy out.

Yes! Seriously though, interesting how with a couple of occasional mentions of a WII game, all the GOY candidates are 360 games. PS3 FTL.
I've had 360 and Wii, and now i have PS3, i have to say that i like PS3 the most, I dont game that much but the Blu Ray thing is just awsome, and probly the onl game i'm going to miss is Gear of War, I'm happy woth the games ps3 has to offer now. Game of the year: COD4
1. IL 2 Sturmovik 1946 Bought it early in the year and still playing it. It's that fun. Well, for me anyway. 1946 is best played with TrackIR. 2. Sam & Max Season One One word: funny.
I wish I had played Mass Effect...since it came out a little later and most havent played, I think its gonna get screwed here in these ratings. Anyways, my list consists of games I have spent playing the most and have given me the best bang for the buck. I say this because I might get shot for one of my nominees. My top 3: 1. Call of Duty 4 2. Halo 3 3. Madden 08 IGN came out with all their awards for each platform. Many categories...fun to see what Ive missed on. Im thinking of giving Eternal Sonata a chance after Mass Effect.

My Internet connection was cut off shortly after I made this thread, so I wasn't able to remind people about that. I don't think this is 100% finalized right now, but here's my list: 1. Folklore 2. God of War 2 3. Heavenly Sword 4. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction 7. MLB 07: The Show 8. BioShock Few games really stood out to me this year, and in fact, most of these could easily be rearranged (particularly 2-4). I did miss out on a lot of great games that I probably won't play until 2008, but I ended up playing more than I thought I would.
