See what I'm saying? This team plays better and is way more dangerous when TMac leads the team in assists, and not scoring as much. Yao scores the most, then TMac scores second most but leads the team in assists, and everyone else scores over 12 points. Now THIS is what Rockets basketball is all about.
cong!!! although we need a real pg, pppppplease. we won't win great teams with tmac shooting like this.
You were saying this? Nobody agreed with me when i made a thread saying exactly this and yet the whole team played better and won if tmac facilitated
yep good game by Tmac... he may have missed his shots... but I really think he should have shot a little more in the 4th... usually he shoots better in the 4th when he has a bad shooting game to start.... 5 fewer shots before the 4th... and I think Tmac would have been okay... in the shooting department
Yet when he was doing this in the playoffs they lost. Right now, the Rockets need to find a way to get teammates involved while still getting T-Mac in his positions to score the ball at a nice % (iso on elbow). They are not going to win with T-Mac consistently shooting this bad of a % (or, for that matter, 40-43% like in previous years with the Rockets). The cure is to find a PG who can run this offense without such a playmaking burden on T-Mac. Rafer simply isn't getting it done as the defense doesn't respect his jumpshot.
Congrats Tracy! Good effort, if the shots dont fall.. either tear the rim off, or turn up the other parts of your game. Honored that I was able to watch Tmac's first Triple Double.
I said it before and I'll say it again. Rockets are a better and a tremendously dangerous team when TMac leads the team in assists, and Yao leads the team in scoring, and everyone else scores over 12 points. This is what Rockets basketball is all about.
7/22 shooting inside the arc and 1-6 from 3 point range. If he had his customary 45% 2 ptrs and 34% from 3 pt range he's have had about 20 pts inside the arc and 6 pts from 3 pt range for a total of 26 pts. He also shot 50% from the line instead of his customary 73% which tonight would have given him an extra 3 pts. So if T-Mac was hitting on all cylinders tonight he would have scored 29 pts to go along with that 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Final score would have been Rockets 114 Grizzlies 92
