with Snyder being out for a month with a broken hand, does this mean we might see Bonzi back pretty soon? I read Marc Stein's blog sometime last week and read that he heard Bonzi was close to being in game shape....i'm curious to see what will happen. Looks like VSpan got some minutes tonight and could take those minutes, but I think Wells will be back soon....just my $.02
well im sure bonzi will squeeze into the roster somehow with snyder being out 10-12 weeks ugh..tough injury. i wish him the best. he really is a spark off the bench for us.
People are overrating Bonzi bonzi here. He is simply an average guard that went crazy against the Spurs in the playoffs last year. He DOES have the potential to be an all-star but is held back by his frequent trips to Krispy Kremes and All you can eat Buffets.
does anybody else smell injury bug this season again............ i should stop before i say something, and next thing you know it's a repeat of last season.....
and: contradiction?? Bonzi is no average guard...he is a superstar WHEN he wants to, and he is normally a very good player who brings a lot of great things to his team (scoring, rebounding, post up force, and sometimes, shooting)... lets just hope he plays with a good attitude and puts some serious effort..
tahts what I heard as well and chucky getting baack on Saturday and Sura gets back in 3 weeks(wishful thinking)
LCII, What Bonzi Wells have you been watching? The guy can flat out BALL....i dont give a rats ass if he's over-weight he can hoop, he can rebound, he can post-up, and Van Gundy needs to get off his high-horse and play him. If we're going to get beat, at least get beat knowing that you had your best team on the floor...Bonzi cant be the steal of the off-season sitting on the inactive lists.
i know snyder was a good spark...but we need HAYES back 100 times more than him...bonzi off the bench playing the 2 would really help in the 4th quarters..
I spit my Pepsi on the computer screen. Pretty good lil joke. In seriousness, I cant wait till wed. if Bonzi is going to start playing. That would be awesome. We will finally have a weapon in the 4th. there are only 5 guys on the opposing team, they cant double all 3 (yao, grady, and Bonzi).
Actually, if they lose another post player they're screwed. Yao, Deke, nothing else Howard, Padgett, (Battier), (Hayes), Novak Deke could not handle the post job if Yao got hurt. He's strictly a 15 min max guy these days. None of our forwards could handle the 5 spot. It really worries me that we don't have an insurance player at the 4/5. Evan
well hayes could handle some spot minutes at the 5 but our PF's can't guard anyone if hayes were to play some 5. we need another post defender.
