He has been the leader at Vanderbilt for a few years now. He is a decent shooter with a younger Battier-like defense. Currently ranked #23 on DX. I think he will move into the top 10. How unfortunate for us Rocket fans.
Not sure if he will be a lottery pick, but ya, I like him a lot, too. Limited upside, but he's pretty much as safe a pick as you'll find in the 10-20 range. Don't see him getting picked in the top-10, though.
I was going to say low first round depending on how far Vandy gets ... If they make the Final Four (which is possible) he may crack into the lotto
Well after doing a month or so of draftee reasearch, i have come to my original conclusion. Jeffrey Taylor should be a lotto pick. As a matter of fact, he should be #14. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jeff-Taylor-1351/stats/
I like Jeff but I don't think he's a lotto pick. He just doesn't impact the game consistently enough the way a superstar would. Just kind of disappears too much. Wasn't very clutch either. I should know, I go to Vandy and watch most games. He is a superb athlete though, I've witnessed him putting his elbow in the rim with ease at their open gym. He's got great tools. I bet he'll go somewhere in the low 20s.
lol he's a senior, limited upside. lottery picks are mainly based on potential. If lottery talent stays in the NCAA they should dominate in their 3rd and 4th years
Postbadlee, he's not even in the top 20... SMH 1. Anthony Davis 2. Thomas Robinson 3. Micheal Kidd Gilchrist 4. Bradley Beal 5. Harrison Barnes 6. Jared Sullinger 7. Perry Jones 8. Jeremy Lamb 9. John Henson 10. Damian Lillard 11. Kendall Marshall 12. Tyler Zeller 13. Terrence Jones 14. Quincy Miller 15. Austin Rivers 16. Meyers Leonard 17. Tony Wroten 18. Royce White 19. Arnett Moultrie 20. Terrence Ross
For those of you saying that he is too far down to jump and be selected at #14, remember Tristan Thompson?
I have no idea where he will be picked nor where he should be picked, but why would Houston take him? Seems his upside is limited, and compared to Bud and Parsons, what does he offer that would have the Rockets salivating for him to "drop" to them at 14 or 16? Seems right now what we really need is either a high upside stud, such as Davis or Beal, a SG, or a C.
Neither of Davis or Beal will fall to 14. Taylor is currently at #20 on DX. He is a very good spot-up shooter. 50% fg shooting. One of the best defenders in the draft. Capable of defending the 1,2 and the 3 positions. Moves well without the ball.
