Lakers will match. Arenas provision. Dude is only going to cost the Lakers 5 million against the cap this and next season.
No pipe bro, Id rather have Howard back on a fair contract then loose him for nothing and be unable to bring in another player of his caliber.
I believe it's only Horford at this stage. Working on Ryan Andersom and Mike Conley is pondering a meeting.
Dwight may or may not be worth $6M more than Noah, but that assumes Noah is being paid a reasonable rate. $18M is too high for someone with his injury history Likewise, $24M is too much for a player with injury AND attitude issues (plus the inability to hit free throws). I do not want Dwight back. He wasn't worth the money when we signed him the first time and won't be worth it in the future either as he continues to decline physically.
From what I have heard.... Take it for the little it is worth. Whiteside likely to Mavericks, Heat would rather wait on Durant and hands full with Wade. Conley concerned about playing on teams with ball dominant guards (Houston/SA). It is 5th year guaranteed or bust for Batum. Parsons likely out in Dallas... Memphis, possibly OKC in play at this point but other teams possible. Rockets worried Marvin Williams 3 point shot won't be as high next year. DMO is a fall back option for Rockets.
Sign players. No matter what. Contracta don't matter. The cost is irrelevant. Even Dwight at $24m will be a steal two years from now. Noah at $18 will be a borderline role player.
^ Re: Nook I'll just add: Drummond and Beal (respectively) unlikely to move and will come to an agreement quickly Kings - Waiters, Knicks - Noah, has momentum

Get the big fish first (i.e. Horford) THEN look at the Kent Bazemore's of the world. If our worst case scenario for the offseason comes down to two options: A) Lose Dwight, strikeout in free agency B) Lose Dwight, strikeout in free agency, sign Bazemore for $20M per year Give me option A. We would stink anyways and Bazemore is basically a rich man's K.J. McDaniels. I'll take K.J. at $3M in that scenario.
