Last "real" game before the scrub bowl. Hoping the team dodges the injury bug. Given how sharp most of the personnel have looked, and how many years we've kept the bulk of our O-starters together, I'd consider yanking key guys sooner than in most years. Plenty of others that could use more reps. Hopefully we see the entire D-unit play together for the first time. Those guys have to gel.
Apparently you have to have Comcast to get the games in HD so if you don't have Comcast, 100% chance of garbage.
It was pseudo-crap HD on comcast. KTRK just isn't modernized or up to date on any of their equipment... especially not enough to handle an NFL football game. Barely enough to cover a HS game.
It really was. My wife, who swears she cannot tell the difference between sd and hd, kept complaining about the picture and how everyone looked weird.
The PQ's actually improved from last year. Horrible even for SD standards, and they couldn't show replays from different angles because there weren't that many cameras on the field.
I'd prefer to have the games in HD, no doubt, but I've always felt like the poor picture quality was befitting of preseason games like these. There's something almost quaint about a local TV station doing preseason games with SD cameras.
I watched the replay of the Saints game on NFL TV this morning. It was the same feed, but the quality was actually better.
I'm on Comcast (albeit out of market) and the picture was good on NFLHD last week. Not sure why it's on since I haven't ordered a package and don't think I can even get nfl on comcast.
SF is tanking for Andrew Luck, wouldn't surprise me if they played their starters for extended minutes hoping for injuries.
