I was surprised he was interested in the first place.

I don't know about Murray's PG selection....he is probably still really interested in Rubio.

Not surprising, he's kinda out of shape. He really hasn't been very good since demanding a trade out of Utah. He needs to be in a system like jerry sloans to be effective.

You know D-Will once was a perennial allstar.

Still love the player when healthy, but that's a massive caveat.

Once the injuries start mounting like this, they virtually never get better. Far too big a risk.

That contract is a mess though. 3 more years at max? Ouch...
I Have a hard time believing Morey would commit to paying a PG $22MM in his mid-thirties given his revolving door act at the position.

I have changed my view on him aswell. He has only averaged 3 FT's a game this year (career low) he is purely a jump shooter pg now.

As bad as DWill's contract is, you can't deny his success in the playoffs. If it wasn't for his injury history, I would bet the house on DWill-Harden-D12

He also joined the 20-10 club. I think there are less than 10 PG's in history belonged to 20-10 club.

Quite a achievement but DWill had seen better days and on a downward trend.

Was also considered by most to be the 2nd best PG in the NBA behind CP3, if not arguably the best. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

He's actually playing pretty well this season when healthy. He's shooting really well (48% FG, 41% 3 PTs) and putting up 13.6 pts and 6.9 assist in 30 minutes a game. If he can play an average of 36 minutes a game, that's ~16 points and 8 assist while shooting as efficient as he has ever been in his career. I would still put him in the top 5 point guards in the league right now when he's on the court (even with the bum ankle).

I mean after Tony Parker and CP3, who is better than him right now?

Is this a serious question? Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry? Wall, Rubio, and Lillard may be as well, not to mention the injured Rose and Rondo. DWill can't play defense, nor attack the basket with his bum ankle. The PG position is way too deep. I may even take Lowry, Bledsoe, or Dragic over a non-healthy, bum ankle-D Will, who may or may not play on any given day.

Curious about the timing here. I have no doubt Morey asked on a whim at some point. But I'm guessing before the season before it was clear DWill won't be healthy to start the year. I can't imagine it happening any time after that.

Idk i'd probay still be for getting Williams if the price was only Lin and Asik. Its a high risk/reward situati
