I know bullard goes on and on about it, but as long as its our guys and it helps our do you really care? I think we probably have few of the best in the league on our team.
i hate flopping and would like the nba to apply some rule changes to eliminate it from the game as much as possible. i don't care if it helps or weakens our team. flopping is a disgrace.
I don't really see it ever being a set in stone type of rule. Would be a judgment call by the refs, and could end up getting out of hand at times.
I'd like to see the rules changed a bit to get rid of flopping. Sometimes I feel like the pickup games my friends and I play are more physical than what the NBA allows.
it seems like all the nba superstars are the ones that play for the whistle. I think thats the only reason paul pierce has stayed around so long.
I echo previous posts.... flopping has no place in a respectable sport. While I'll be significantly less pissed off if its one of our own players doing it, I'd be much happier if it wasn't so common.
Flopping needs to go. I don't care if were the best or worst at doing it, this isn't soccer. They need to be fined if they flop.
Yes,that should be done right away. Fine them heavily. Repeated flopping should result in game suspensions. Coaches shouldn't be spared, they encourage or condone it. Sloan is the worst of them at it.
flopping and being in position and falling is different. if the player has position, and has to fall down to get the call, than fine. however if a player just falls down and flops with the contact warranted than yes that needs to go. battier even commented on how the refs nowadays won't call the charge if you don't fall. An example of the top of my head is that raja bell flop on kobe, that was disgraceful
Best at flopping, taking charges, and drawing FT's = Not something we want the Rockets to be known for. Besides refs swallow their whistles in the playoffs/close games.
I agree there is a difference. I would not call what Battier does "flopping" for the most part. He tends to get good position and take legit charges. That being said, there are definitely floppers on this team and I hate it. I am glad that Bullard calls out guys like Lowry and ever Scola (although I think he is cutting back on it). There is no room in the NBA for this kind of garbage.
I'm sick of Bullard whining, to be honest. It's just the preseason, and it's already gotten annoying.
