Its too early to blame anyone. Give the team a little more time to jell. T-mac just came back so I expect them to find a niche soon. The team just need to develope a chemistry.
JVG is a great defensive coach. But I just wonder how much offensive value he brought to the team. He just relied too much on the talent of the star players in this team. Great offensive coachs should make various offensive plans based on the players he has but not play them like robots. JVG is below par on that department definately.
I think the problem is almost every shot rockets made are well expected by their opponents, I means, nothing beyond their minds. Yao and TMac score a lot because of their talent, not because of great ball movement or team offensive. However, the latter two differentiate a great offensive coach from mediocre.
That's because of our poor offense strategy! JVG should put less restriction on his players. What he should do is put them together while they can be themselves to some extent. A good example is how Tmac changed after he's allowed to be himself. A good coach should not mold his plyers into his way.
