Simple. Would you rather the Rockets make the playoffs and face the Warriors? Or end their disappointing season with another disappointing loss but keep their 1st round pick?
Playoffs. b****es want draft picks and be the Houston 76ers or Philadelphia Rockets and just look forward to the draft every year. Real fans, athletes enjoy playing or watching the terrific atmosphere during the playoffs win or lose.
Not that simple, IMO...i was sure i wanted the pick...BUT, although i don't think we can beat GS overall, we could get hot and make them sweat a little...maybe even gain some respect back....so yeah, I'm now interested in seeing how the respond in the playoffs.
You play the game to win.... Tanking for a 12th pick doesn't guarantee you anything better. Especially a rookie in the NBA...
I know it could be better to get a draft pick... but I love playoff basketball and would hate to have to wait 2 years before seeing the Rockets in the playoffs again. So I'd rather the playoffs for sure.
My buddy in the Bay Area said I really hope the Rockets beat us 1 time. I want to sell more home game tickets.
Famous last words. If this team weren't so dysfunctional I'd say playoffs. But for the first time since Pippen was a Rocket I am thoroughly disinterested in an NBA season in which the Rockets are a playoff team.
Bay area fans Probably thinks the Warriors were established three years ago. Most likely a Laker fan before.
If Utah loses to the Lakers, won't this be a moot point? We've already won enough to squeak in if they lose.
Except the Warriors fanbase is known for selling out their stadium and making it one of the nosiest during their loooong stretch of suck.
Losing in 4 is better than gossip about who we're picking @ 12? I highly doubt that. This isn't like a GSW-DAL series where we have a good matchup or have a good chance to upset our opponent. We're going to get savaged by GSW.
I'm really not the type to complain about threads but Clutch already posted this same exact topic not even a week ago, and that was when the two options were possible. Rockets are now 99.9% locked into 8th seed... we're not getting the pick.
we're not trading harden so we need the playoffs to boost our free agency stock. a mid round pick usually tkaes years to develop
