Dont' want to sound negative about it. But Yao definitely came back too soon last season after his toe surgery, thus he got into another injury. Right now, Yao is pushing for the World Championship after a short recovery time. I think he came back too soon as well, and more likely, he could get another injury during the NBA season. So how many games will he play this coming season? I say, around 60 games.
I think there is nothing to do with the toe surgery on this one. Its on different foot. and the first one is only a toe infection, while second one is a slight fracture. Different foot, completely different injury. I'd say about 75-78 games.
75 games is streching it... Don't be too optimistic. I'd say about 65. T-Mac... 60. This is prolly the way it is.
He had a bone in his foot broken when he was stepped on during a game. How did that have anything whatsoever to do with his previous injury? So, his toenail problem somehow weakened a bone in his foot? Sorry, but that makes no sense at all.
Missing 7 games for Yao is way too much. He would not miss that much. and from his workout pictures, he looks good, and remember he'll always put 100% effort to bring us to victory. Don't be surprised if He plays 82.
Are you serious? The two injuries had nothing to do with each other. I wish all our houston athletes would get a toenail removed and play like yao
T-Mac and Yao better play at least 70 games each or we're going to be right back in the lottery. I'm optomistic so I'm going high. 75 games.
Before last season, Yao did not play only in two games and both are not because of injury and played all games on an injured toe. Yao got his toe fixed by surgery and likewise his fracture foot. Why all the pessimism now?
Yao may play as much as we wish... If we have a backup C to limit his mins within 35... I wonder if Deke could still play this part...
Yao played through those foot and toenail injuries for three whole years before getting them fixed. What do you think will stop Yao now? A phantom pain? JVG?
Whoa, 90 games? That puts at most two round sweeps then Yao goes down with an injury, or we sweap one round and the other round goes to seven games, which we lose. I prefer if Yao plays 96 games, and we sweep each round.
The dude is a warrior. He'll be good for 80 games during the regular season, and another 15-25 in the playoffs.
I don't think he'll have any problems this year and will get back to his usual close to 82 games played.
In an ideal world, Yao should play 100 games this coming season. 82+4+5+4+5. . Well, maybe he can take a break for a game or 2 in the regular...
