It usually is.. but on the note 4 it's done well surprisingly 4.4 version. The 5.0 lollipop TouchWiz should be better
The Amazon Fire Phone is $199, unlocked and without contract, till Monday. Do you guys think this is worth getting?
If you treat it like a budget phone, you will be content. That being said, it's probably worth even less than that. Amazon has utterly failed entering the phone and tablet market.

If you plan on getting amazon prime it might be worthwhile since buying the phone comes with a year of prime. It makes the phone about 100 bucks. For 100 bucks it makes a pretty solid backup phone. I wonder if there are any Roms fit it.
This may be a black friday deal but amazon has the note 4 for $199.99 with a two year. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-Charcoal-Sprint/dp/B00NKR9FT2/
Yes the build quality is superb with the machined metal edges Grip is solid with the high quality plastic back
To all those who are well informed on phones: I need a phone for $200 or less unlocked and without contract. What are my options and what are your recommendations? FYI: I currently have a Lumia 920 and am satisfied with it. I don't need the ultimate power in a phone. Just need good internet browsing. And a good camera would be a nice bonus. I might just stick with my (AT&T) Lumia and go month to month if nothing else is great but I am just now starting to pay attention to what's happening in the world of phones so I'm fairly uninformed.
They have three different versions on Amazon, I'm guessing I want the "Universal 4G LTE"? http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Moto...&qid=1419254557&sr=8-1&keywords=moto+g+4g+lte Also, this phone is 6 months old which is fine but is there a new version of it that will be the same + improvements coming out soon? I ask because I could just wait a few months; no rush.
finally went ahead and sent back the nexus 6. was just uncomfortable. spent more time trying to handle it properly than using it. flat out cumbersome. otherwise it was an awesome phone. pure moto x for me. no micro-stutters in lollipop and size is perfect.
