Hey everyone, you may usually find best dunks, crossover or game winner lists on the net but not something about the layups, circus shots, so I made a video of the top 40 layups ever that should be interesting for the fans: Let's have a discussion though, what is in your opinion the greatest layup the nba ever had? Would it be MJ over nets? Dr J against the lakers in the finals? Something else? What's your favorite circus shot by a rockets player? Also who's your favorite layup artist?
Nice video! For me, Dr. J going around the backboard will always be #1. Thousandth time I've seen it, and it still boggles my mind how much distance he covers there.
That and MJ against the nets stand above the rest for me. We can usually see players controlling their body in some circus shot situations, and making that shot with some luck. Those two right there were pure talent. Ain't nobody is duplicating that.
Good video. This.... Against the Spurs in 94-95 WCF. Also... #26. Iverson layup is not special. I have seen plenty of guys do it at my local gym. I have done it myself. Drexler's finger roll layup 1/3 from the FT line in 94-04 playoffs should have been in the top 10. A very difficult layup that Clyde made it look very routine. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/jANX9ebGGk8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Another one.... <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2dOAwGKWfqA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Danng I missed that one, was basically adding clips with higher quality, so I missed a few, like this one that doesn't have a good quality anywhere to get Like from almost 3pt line, unnecessary move but helluva difficult
+1. If I could give more I would. As I got towards the end of the countdown I wondered if mj's layup vs the Nets would be number 1. That's always been my favorite layup. Where he took off from was insane. The nets bench response was cool as well.
