It's weird that noone else is reporting anything. You would think that tweet alone would be enough for some of these trigger happy reporters to "break the story".
Remember 2007? The Rockets ended the prior season with Rafer Alston and Luther Head (who played PG occasionally) among its PG corp. They then drafted Aaron Brooks, traded for Mike James, signed Steve Francis and went into the season with all 5 of these small guards. They then traded James for Bobby Jackson. The Rockets have not been afraid of overloading at a position when see sees a possible value acquisition (which Mike James and Steve Francis were thought to be). Lin (or Canaan or Beverley) might get traded soon, or they might just go into the season with 4 PGs. The team's done it before.
If he signs,he makes the most sense to start more than any of the other pgs. Why? He's the most explosive, most experienced in playoff games, and the best shooter. Not to mention,it doesn't bother him to play off the the ball. Say what you will, but we've seen brooks dominate playoff games with yao and without yao. That means a lot and takes pressure off parsons and jones. He would be valuable if resgned.
Philly has to keep JPoor in order to help with the tanking effort. He is the Juwan Howard for the 2002-03 Denver Nuggets.
Maybe AB is just depressed that no one has signed him, got high and started tweeting? Who tweets "hi" to a team's GM and then says he's back with the team?
