You gotta wonder, right? No other NBA "bird" teams that I can think of. Of course, the reference might be something completely different.
The source is apparently Kevin Barrios, a Pelicans blogger at SB Nation. The linked article at inquisitr.com says "according to Yibida." Yibida's article says "SB Nation proposed a deal..." Here's the link to the original SB Nation article: http://www.thebirdwrites.com/2015/12/23/10657998/nba-trade-pelicans-knicks-rockets-howard-anderson-jones Bottom line: It's just some blogger's proposed trade that he'd like to see his team make. Nothing to see here. Everybody move along.
I thought birds of a feather was an expression that meant made out of the same material/stuff/ quality or stuck together... Guess I was wrong lol.
And the section of the site where it was posted is called <a href="http://www.thebirdwrites.com/trade-machine-madness">"SBNation: Trade Machine Madness"</a> yet, this was picked up by Chinese and Australian pseudo-news sites to spread back to the US via NBA Radio. The internet is so weird with turning anything "published" on a slick site or twitter as "news" to build content at lame sites. Lesson learned: Yidida clearly did not understand that it was Trade Machine Madness fun, and thought it was news. The people spreading links to Yibida and the Aussie "site" are LOFs on this bbs. They first appeared in the Lin/Charlotte thread. Let's please never use these sites as news anymore. They aren't.
Yep. How else could Orson Welles successfully troll NYC with a martian attack?! If people didn't implicitly trust Radio technology, as much as we trust the internet now.
if Dr. Alan Grant taught me anything its that velociraptors are more like modern day birds than reptiles. So Raptors are birds that leaves us with a third team in Toronto. Codman's 4four4 sig means a player who is at the 4 spot that wears #4 Raptors #4 - Luis Scola Scola is coming home folks!!
I am interpreting that "Birds of a Feather" is a hint of a Pelicans/Hawks/Rockets deal. I know this isn't the random trades thread, but this is what I'd think it'd look like. To ATL: Trevor Ariza and Norris Cole. To NO: Terrence Jones, Dennis Schroeder, Thabo Sefelosha, and maybe a pick via HOU. To Houston: Ryan Anderson.
No way. Ariza has significant value, even if he has struggled this year. Ariza has way more value than R Anderson in my opinion.
I am sorry TJ, Ariza and potentially a pick for Ryan Anderson? No way at all can you imagine having to start Corey Brewer?
