I know he was injured. I know he is a bit undersized and therefore worked on his 3point shot. But honestly, when I look at the last 10 games I just simply can not imagine a worse Power Forward in this league. I think it became more than clear that PP is a solid role player who is perfect off the bench and playing against second units. But seriously, we need a real PF asap otherwise we will once again end up with 15th pick and there will be no play offs in april either...
He's injured? Is that confirmed? If he's injured, he should sit. He's not helping the team the way he's playing.
Injuries have taken a toll on his body. He is not the same athletic player he was as a rookie. He brings nothing to the rockets. I've been hoping to see the old rookie patterson for the past two years. Sadly, I think he is done. When you think about it, the losing streak started when Patterson was back in the rotation, later inserted into the starting lineup. Start Morris, he's a better shooter, more athletic. In fact, I would just start TJones. He's got it all, shoot, spread the floor, athletic, shot blocker.
HE IS NOT UNDERSIZED. I have nothing else to contribute in his defence? Oh wait - maybe he's being "used wrong" - he's at his best when he ignores the coaches and does whatever he wants. Maybe it's time he did that again....
This. I have been saying that since last year. It's sad to see a young player handicapped by injuries. Does anyone remember this dunk? <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vwpN6Dw4Zgc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
No the topic is if Patterson is the worst starting PF ever for the ROCKETS. Which is why it's in the GARM. If you want to talk about the worst starting PF ever in all of the NBA this is the wrong forum.
oh how the mighty have fallen...still remember the day he was untouchable from trades and now degraded as the worst starting pf in rockets history
I dont know about the worst of all time, but he's pretty close to the worst starting PF in the NBA right now. He's a good team defender, but he just really doesn't do anything exceptionally well on either end of the court. To be an NBA starter you really need to at the very least be a specialist, or just be plain good in the general sense. And the consensus here in the GARM is that Morey is actually going to be able to trade this guy, especially when he has known chronic injury issues with his ankle? Alot of teams would take him, but not trade anything of value for him.
Would Bobcat be interested to take PPat for a pick? Hakim Warrick is bad, although it hard to argue PPat is better than him at this moment, at least PPat has some hope to be better.
