Whoops, I misspelled the Rockets in the poll.

I'm tired of hearing about this guy. I am interested in hearing which of our two signings Clutch Fans wants more before July 11 when things can start happening.

Lin, he's younger and I think he has a higher ceiling. He fits better with the rebuilding project.

Asik. Great defensive player would anchor defense. He's one of the better rebounders in the game.

The big man is always more valuable. That is provided Asik can play consistently given starter's minutes.

The NBA is a perimeter players' game. Its not the big man dominated game of old. Unless said big man is someone like Shaq, Dwight, Hakeem.

If we get Dwight I'd prefer Lin, if not I'd prefer Asik.

    they both are overrated

i'll guess i'll take Lin( because he has shown himself to be a damn good all-around player)

Lin is more sexy. Asik is more useful. If they were women, you'd want to keep Asik as wife and Lin as mistress.

Lin, he will give Houston the publicity we need again ever since Yao left. He also has a better potential to become an all-star player rather than Asik.

Asik. Rim protecting bigs are hard to come by.

I like Lin, but good, not great point guards are dime a dozen.

    This.

We've got plenty of young big guys to get time at the 5 and a huge void at guard. Lin won't be in anyone's way while having upside.

I'd rather have Asik. But both would be good additions for the price. With the way things have been going so far I expect both to get matched.

    FTW, let's tank!

If I had to pick one, Jeremy Lin because of the media attention it would bring. If you could pair him up with Howard, I think it would be really easy to attract free agents!

Lin = media attention, good pg not superstar, but super star appeal

Asik = same ole same ole, no one cares to play with, potential to be good defensive 7ft

Take McCalebb out of the equation and I would still make the same point. I just don't think it's all that hard to find serviceable point guards.

I'd be fine with somebody like Sessions for a year for example, too. Brooks would be ok as well, although he wouldn't be my first choice.

I just think Bo is the best of the bench and not much worse, if at all than Lin.
Lin of course is proven -- at least to an extent and younger, so I have no problem with the Rockets going in that direction first.

Still, if I had to choose between Asik and Lin, I'd go with Asik.
