http://deadspin.com/philly-radio-host-fired-after-criticizing-rival-show-ov-1785703819 Philadelphia sports radio station WIP fired host Josh Innes today, a day after he made fun of 97.5 The Fanatic’s Mike Missanelli over the revelation that his white producer Pat Egan created an imaginary stereotypical black caller named “Dwayne From Swedesboro.” Crossing Broad first reported the firing, which apparently occurred after Innes was getting ready for today’s show, because he still announced the guests around noon Eastern: Innes, who called Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce a “house Negro” in January, took every opportunity to lay into his rivals Tuesday for the dumb hack bit. Crossing Broad transcribed part of yesterday’s show, in which Innes referred to Missanelli as “Soul Man”:
Thought we'd forgot about his "house" blast from earlier this year but no. Good luck with your new blog dude..
I am kind of mixed on him. Used to like him a lot but now have a hard time listening. I think part of it is just being so miserable in morning traffic and losing patience though. So probably not his fault ha.
I enjoy Seth's rants because he's pretty eloquent, but he can ramble on without having a point and those times are annoying.
Josh thinks he's Howard Stern. Still remember when he went after Bob Allen for the Peyton Manning story.
look who's back! I'm in the minority that enjoys him, met him at 610 Fan Fest a few years back, took the time to talk a few mins, seems like a cool dude to chill with EDIT: and Clutch beats me to it....lol
Charlie was the only guy on that station who genuinely knew his stuff. A walking encyclopedia with a dry personality but I still enjoyed his show very much.
