I have an apathy toward the Cowboys. I'm a Texans fan by default, but I can't stand this state's craze for Dallas. And I couldn't care less for Vince Young.
the vince young supporters didn't bump that thread, it was the tracy/vince carter people. Some of the most diehard Cowboy fans I know are from.. HOUSTON you guys know that they exist in Htown
that would make the thread not as fun. I know there are more Cowboys fans than this here. I think they are hiding.
Now I know how vince must have felt taking the wunderlick test, I'm sooo confused, I hate both equally!!
I'm a 40 year old Houston native and a fan of the both the Cowboys and the Texans. I grew up as a fan of both the Cowboys and the Oilers. I've had season tickets for all three teams in the past. As a Cowboys season ticket holder I got to purchase tickets to Superbowl 28 in Atlanta and had a great time attending the game. I'm raising my kids to be fans of both teams and often times my kids and I will switch from Cowboys gear to the Texans gear (or vise verse) at 3pm on Sundays. I liked VY when he was the UT QB but once he went to Tennessee he died to me. Buck Fud Adams!!! At the time I thought the Texans made the wrong draft pick regarding VY, RB and Mario. Mario has proven me wrong and I've eaten the crow on that one.
I still don't understand all the hate for Vince Young. Come of you act like he did something to you, so you hate him.
there are a ton of cowboy fans in Houston and there are a ton of UT fans in Houston. I get why people like the Cowboys, they've been around, they haven't moved, they won a bunch of Super Bowls. it's more of a city hate. I think they had some great players.
yeah, according to the clutchfans political correctness. it's ok to root for Kelvin Kobb and wish him good luck since he played for UH and was born in Victoria and plays for the Eagles. it's not ok to root for Vince Young who was born in Houston and played for UT, which a huge population of Houstonians who have college degrees went to. Let's not act like there's a huge tradition of football at UH, I know they had some great players. There's a reason why the stadium in Austin hold 100,000 people and UH is half of that.
funnily enough....that is the name of my bowling team. ya know...its kinda funny....some folks have all their self esteem tied up in which college they went to....I don't understand it, and frankly....dont give a damn. You dont see me running aorund here going on about how great of a juco program San Jac had, and the fact that both Cassell and Francis played there briefly.... you know why? CAUSE IT WAS JUST A DAMN SCHOOL. who really gives a crap?
