There's a good chance that can happen illiquidly this season. TMac (MJ), Battier (Scottie), Yao (Hakeem) What you say?
What if we had Allan Houston, Danny Ferry, and Rik Smits all on the same team? That would be awesome.
ummm what are you smoking.. first off Hakeen is WAYYY better than Yao is right now. I dont think Yao at his peak will come close to Hakeem. Yao is the best center in the NBA now but definately cant be compared to hakeem 2nd, Jordan is WAYY better than TMac too.. Tmac so far lacks that passion and drive that made Jordan so great. last, As much as I hate that mofo pippen he is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than Battier in every category imaginable.. including being an *******..Yup that is probably the only category battier beats out pippen is his character. thats about it..
our players aren't as good but will basically play the same roles. lets just hope for a 55+ win season.
TMac's 9th year in the league was this past season. Hence me sayin we'd have 2 by now if he were MJ. Put some thought into your posts especially if your the thread starter. You didn't even list the similarities between the players. What a lame thread starter.
Good points. BUT... Hakeem, Jordan and Pippen never played on the same team. Yes. Each player is better than the current Rocket, but we have 3 pieces on one team that are pretty good. I can tell you this, I wouldn't be that surprised if we won a championship this year. Yao and Tmac are solid pieces to a championship. We've got young and old mixed throughout (generally a good trait for a champ). Now add the best glue you can buy to put it all together. Team player Battier. ^^^ It doesn't have to happen like I've written it, but honestly, it could.
Michael Jordan was 27 going into the season he won his first championship. Tracy McGrady is 27 going into this season. Tracy McGrady drives a Lincoln Navigator. Michael Jordan had a navigator on his boat named Lincoln.
Considering that team would win 75 games and be the best defensive and offensive team in the history of the game... Our VERY toned down version could win 55-60 games, which is good enough for me. Outside of these 3, we will have contributors every night: Deke, hayes, Howard, Snyder, Head, Spanoulis, Sura, Alston, Novak, Jacobsen and maybe JLIII. This team is defensively probably the least equipped team JVG has ever coached, but offensively the best team he's ever coached. It could yield some interesting results. If we sign a Kelvin Cato to be a 3rd PF/C off the bench, this team has the depth to compete with anyone and, IMO, can beat anyone in a playoff series but the Spurs.
