Blaylock’s vehicle struck another vehicle head-on, injuring two people, whose names were not released, and himself, Franklin said. All three were transported to Atlanta Medical Center, where Blaylock was on life support and unresponsive, Franklin said. A female passenger in the second vehicle was bleeding internally, he said. Damn. I hope and pray for him and for the other two people. Praying they improve and get better. Damn. Sad stuff
Damn, I always liked him. Sounds bad, crossing into oncoming traffic usually isn't just something that happens.
Still early, but seems like Mookie's condition has improved. Unfortunately, someone in the car he hit has passed away... http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9330727/daron-mookie-blaylock-stable-condition-car-crash
Oh man. I always loved Mookie's game. I wanted him on the Rockets for the longest. My thoughts are with him and his family - as well as the others involved in the accident. Terrible news.
Former Hawk Blaylock upgraded to serious condition Posted May 31, 2013 6:55 PM - Updated Jun 1, 2013 12:48 PM JONESBORO, Ga. (AP) -- Former NBA All-Star guard Daron "Mookie" Blaylock has been upgraded to serious condition a day after his SUV crashed head-on into a van and killed a woman. Atlanta Medical Center spokeswoman Nicole Gustin said Saturday that the 46-year-old Blaylock had been upgraded to serious condition. On Friday, the hospital listed Blaylock in critical condition, and police said the former Atlanta Hawks player had been placed on life support for a short time. Jonesboro Police Chief Franklin Allen said Blaylock was driving Friday afternoon in the Atlanta suburb of Jonesboro when his SUV crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a van with two people inside. The van's passenger, 43-year-old Monica Murphy, was killed. Her husband broke an ankle. Don't know the whole story but he could have been responsible for killing someone due to negligence.
That's crazy man... I remember playing NBA Live back when Barkley was still on the cover and seeing his name and not knowing who he was.
If he was drinking and driving I don't feel bad for him at all but for the woman's life he took Hopefully it was an accident and prayers to the injured.
