He's been playing great, but I'm worried by the insane workload he has had so far. Game 1: 29 carries (rush + pass) Game 2 so far: 26 carries (rush + pass) with 3 min still left in the 3rd quarter Do you guys think he can keep it up all season? Or will he flame out near the end?
No worries. He's always taken a lot of carries. This year, he will get more passes thrown his way, which will help too.
They can be a little smarter about it. For example he did not need to carry the ball at end of the first half when they were trying to kill the clock. And with a 20 point lead they can afford to give Grimes and Blue more carries here at the end of this game.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Foster now with 27 carries. Bill O’Brien said this week he will use Arian Foster however he has to to win. Can’t think about carries.</p>— James Palmer (@JPalmerCSN) <a href="https://twitter.com/JPalmerCSN/status/511285560690749440">September 14, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
They took him out, and he didn't look happy about it. And I'm happy that he wasn't happy about it. He wants to tote the rock.
Bill O'Brien sure ain't worried about Foster's carries, that's for sure. Foster has been great for us whenever he's been on the field, but the way we're riding him he sure as hell looks like a cap casualty for next year.
Looking like it... But regardless, where are those fans that stated Tate>>> Foster??? Idiotic to say the least. Foster is having enough touches to win...And this team is playing well. Keep riding the same formula for success...
Yes the carries are a concern. Texans quite possibly have legit help behind him. Use it. Dude is coming off 2 years of injury, he's not the most durable guy.
