What has Dwight done to be this hated by everybody?

This is a big part. Lakers media wanted to create a narrative to make Dwight look bad so people would think Kobe was good. We all know Kobe is a fccking ******* yet Dwight comes out of there looking like the bad guy? Major market media spin all the way.

 

He's hated because of the media. I dont hate him at all.. i thank him for his contributions to the team but Bye Felicia because howard your not worth the max. We cant handicap ourselves to please an aging use to be all star

 

Jealousy of his large family

 

How is this possible if he hardly get any touches throughout the season? He hardly complains despite being the 3 or 4th option in the team. Harden is the one who cares more about stats.

 

Mostly it is that he played for the Lakers and was questioned by Kobe, even though he played through injury was a trooper on that team.

Add to that the fact that he left the Magic and had some issues with management there that were awkward. So it could like he was bailing on that team, and his loyalty was in question.

I think he absolutely has gotten a bum deal in terms of his perceived persona vs. the work he actually does, and the way he steps it up in big moments.

Primarily because of the LA media center thing and the fact that LA was bitter over Dwight leaving even though they were disrespectful to him the whole time, most of the stories that come out concerning Dwight are tainted with that bias. So the media that everyone gets from the beginning has that going against Dwight. That little snowball can build into an avalanche, and Some of Dwight's needless fouls add to the problem.

But yes it is true that he gets far more grief than he deserves.

People don't like people who are always happy, which is why Boston will eat him up, as all Bostonians crave unhappiness, and Dwight will just be like, the sun will come up tomorrow after a loss. The media wants him to be motivated to greatness by unhappiness. But that's not Dwight. He's a good happy person. And very underrated in terms of work ethic. He didn't get to where he was/is without working... taking teams to the finals and west finals ( like us ). It is ridiculous. It's unwarranted. It's just easy for the media to narrate that story.

 

Simple - we're below .500 and he's one of the cornerstone stars of this team. By default, he and Harden should shoulder the majority of the blame placed on players of their caliber.

If we were winning a majority of our games, he wouldn't be vilified like he is. It's easier to forgive a player when the team is winning.

 

Yes he worry so much about his stats than don't even demand the ball.

Exactly. As a matter of fact, Harden tends to disappear in the playoffs. So bad that one time they had to take him out of the game just to win.

 

Cause he got his coach fired in Orlando and has failed to live up to expectations for the most part... Mainly because of injury. He has been a professional since coming to Houston and I think he is still a great player the problem is he can't stay on the floor and when he is on the floor his skills are rarely shown.

Love Dwight's time in Houston, especially in the playoffs. For whatever reason, he and harden just don't fit. Dwight deserves to be traded to a team that is a good fit and is a legitimate championship contender.

Trade Dwight to Miami. With Bosh as stretch 4, Dragic as a true playmaker and Wade scoring the Heat are instant challengers to Cleveland.

Rockets get back younger starting C who doesn't need touches to contribute. Salaries will require taking back Deng (good thing), and filler contracts like McRoberts, Birdman, etc.
