Seriously, this guy is the only light in the dark abyss that we currently have as a team. How about this 21 year old, who's only 45 games into his NBA career just doing his thing.

In his 7 games starting he has averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1 steal shooting 66% in just 25 minutes. What a boss. During the meltdown of everybody and everything else, he just keeps improving and bringing his game.

He's lanky, mobile, good shot blocker, good hands, explosive jumper, elite rebounder and a good finisher at the rim. This could, and probably should be our starting center/power forward for most part of the next decade of Houston Rocket basketball.

There's a lot to hate about this team right now, but lets take a moment to give a little love to Mr.Capela

I love Dwight I really do. But I can't help but get a veiny triumphant just thinking about the potential of a future starting lineup with a seasoned Clint and dmo :)

It's crazy that Clint may end up having a better season than Dwight, lol. Capela/Dmo front court = future.

Capela is the only bright spot this season.

We keep him and pray that a new coach can slap defense into Harden. Let everyone else go. They are young we can start over.

Nah, let's hate him, too, for associating with those other people that we hate.

    Capela

He is a breathe of fresh air in a sea of insanity (Brewer, etc).

I can't wait to have DMO come back and see Howard, him and Capela play together in the front court.

Sadly, the more impressed I become with him every day, the more unimpressed I become about TJones.:(

Dwight will walk. We will let him. Capela begins the youth movement. We will pay DMO. The only thing Clint needs is to continue to add bulk to his frame in the off season. He gets backed down on the block too easily. He makes up for it with his length and speed but sometimes that's not enough. The future interior passing between he and DMO makes me salivate.

imagine when he puts on 30 lbs. what if he develops a shot! I always had that expectation for howard, developing a 12ft shot but it never happened. Clint is still so young.

30 lbs will slow him down appreciably. I had hoped for a jumper, but he didn't work on it in the off season. Maybe, he can still develop one, but his FT form seems worse than last year. That gives me the impression that developing an
outside shot is not on his mind.

The absence of low post footwork at the age of 21 is frankly very disappointing.
He is confined to running the pick and roll, and dunks/layups.

Defense is very important, but that is not enough.

Capela is one of the few keepers on this team.

    22 minutes
    7-9 shooting
2-2 free throws - REMEMBER WHEN THIS WAS CRINGEWORTHY TO WATCH?
    16 Points
    9 Rebounds
    2 Asst
    1 steal
    1 block

    THIS SEASON
    23 minutes
    .651 shooting
    12 ppg
    7.5 Rebs

What do we want from the position?

I'm still very much pro-Capela, even if his defense is coming along slower than we'd like.

those turnovers last night were pretty cringe-worthy. other than that I like him as a player. wish he weighed about 50 lbs more. but then I suspect he wouldn't be able to hit those high notes when he sings a cappella

Crazy how much this team has turned over since then.

When was the last time you saw a Conference Finals team turn over this much in <2 seasons?

Would rather have Josh Harrellson or Thong Maker but we're getting Noel
