He was acquitted of a fourth count of first-degree murder. The jury also convicted Dr. Gosnell of involuntary manslaughter in the overdose death of a woman who was undergoing an abortion at his clinic. He was found not guilty on a third-degree murder charge in the woman's death. Dr. Gosnell was convicted of several counts of performing abortions beyond the 24-week gestation limit under Pennsylvania law, and other charges.

agreed. The problem is you've got people who are blinded by bias on the topic of abortion, and will even extend their position illogically to include something like 3801 Lancaster... People need to lose their bias and "emotional attachment to the cause" in a situation like this -- this is murder, regardless of your position on abortion...

it is when your method of dealing with it is a sloppy and crude criminalization+shame campaign, rather than consideration for healthy contraceptive strategies, and giving women more reasons to keep their children. There is so much that can be improved on how American society treats and shames single, unwed mothers.
this is terrible. More regulation is needed. Not sure how criminalizing abortions as some here are want to do will prevent situations like this---would it not be more desperate and horrific?
