I think Lin is a great backup in a good system. Byron Scott's system is broke and non affective that's why he's failed where ever he's gone besides that one year in NO
The one thing that Mike D'Antoni does a good job of is to put players who have some talent, but also significant flaws and limitations in their game, in position to succeed. Lin is one example, and perhaps the most dramatic one during their time in NY. But other players also benefited from D'Antoni-- Raymond Felton put up career highs when he started for D'Antoni (the year before he got fat and injured), Jodie Meeks and Nick Young each had nice years in the boxscore last season, too and got paid. Boris Diaw is another example of a guy who was kind of lost in the NBA until he played for D'Antoni. The spacing and movement in D'Antoni's offense makes it easy to hide the limitations of some of these players-- much easier than it is in Byron Scott's offense. Lin is the one case that everyone notices, but Nick Young is also just shooting 37.5% from the floor. It's just a lot easier to score the ball (and rack up assists and other stats) when the paint is open, the floor spaced and you are not going 1 on 5.
Under the bridge is a good song by Red Hot Chilli Peppers Lin needs to embrace LA culture and stop listening to Amy Grant <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/6kQCsDiiyb4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Can't believe so called basketball experts missed this .... I saw a Nets hardwood classics playoff game on NBA TV just other day.
Oh, definitely. He had the most consistent minutes here. I was just reflecting on his origin and found it funny that he's back to where he started. End of the bench.
Lakers showed this picture to Lin and asked him to chose between the three options... He could either shoot and get his numbers..... He could either learn to play the PG position... Jeremy Lin went with option 3: The Bench.
Byron Scott was a better basketball player than Lin Scott wants a tough player who plays D <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/FUdYa5hdMPw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Majority of these LOFs didn't even know the NBA existed before they heard about an Asian having a hot streak in NY
In the google age, and 'fans' don't know how to research i actually think people like making up their own facts than realizing the true facts
Coming from someone who worships the 90s Rockets, aren't you forgetting that our starting PGs were Kenny Smith and Matt Maloney during that time? Those two guys are as much leaders and fiery practice demons as T-Mac is a winner.
Kidd was the real coach. So was CP3. You don't need to do good job when you have probably one of the best PGs in the history.
Last I checked Kidd had never been to the Finals until he was coached by Scott. Chris Paul has never been as deep in the playoffs as he went with Scott as his coach, despite Rivers being regarded as a very good coach himself. Next.
