    Speedy Ortiz was one of the bigger buzz bands this year at SXSW. They even had Hannibal Buress play drums on one of their songs. I saw them last year at festival, but wasn't too impressed by what I heard so didn't check them out again this time around.

    LOL you couldn't have posted two more opposing groups - One singing that she's going to hell, and the other is pretty much a Christian Band.

    Well, if we're doing female fronted bands now, I'll include a Mary Timony band for the 3rd Time (others being Ex Hex and Wild Flag).

    Her first band in her younger years, Helium (and yes, she was indie-rock-crush worthy).

    Definitely one of my favorite albums from last year. It really does seem like the singer is trying to vocally impersonate Courtney Love.
