Asking a question In a basketball forum, of all places/ lol. As a pastime, for entertainment and to watch. I try not to get to obsessive over it as I dwell into other sports but there is something about the all star weekend that just brings out the 10 yr old in me. I don't follow the home run derby or anything but is MLB -all star rendition just as good as the NBA? The NFL, or NHL? What about Soccer??? I'm going to go out on a limb and say I think basketball is better than sex, no?
My favorite sport to watch is whichever one my kids are playing at the time. My older boy plays hoops year round, so I'm around the game constantly. My favorite pro sports league to watch is MLB. But I love NBA and NFL (specifically Houston teams) as well.
The Rockets are my favorite team, but I probably prefer Football to the NBA. The way fouls are called/not called in basketball drives me up the wall. I also watch Baseball, but if the Astros aren't involved my interest drops greatly.
Ping pong is fun to play and watch. Also I find bowling entertaining as well for some reason (to play and watch). I voted none of the above.
Bowling is pretty awesome, I agree with you there. You can drink/smoke and eat pizza while watching or bowling. Sounds like my sport to play and watch.
Absolutely my favorite. One of the few sports you play by yourself, and for that reason...I love it! Go Rockets!
Probably because we've played the sport and enjoyed it. I used to think Pool was trash to watch on ESPN until I learned to play it. I'm attracted to Allison Fisher for some reason.
But the all star weekend guys? That was so much fun. Man I wish I was at the Houston one a couple years ago. Probably not traffic wise but damn what a fun time to spend on the weekends.
Uh. Basketball is a metaphor for life, where I come from The cornfields of Illinois Who owns the copyrights to the phrase March Madness since the '30s Played in the Western Big Six (the historically best bball conference in Illinois by far) Playing the game Bobby Knight popularized Where the Chicago Public League would drive to to test their mettle And we destroyed Isiah Thomas and Mark Agguire at their own game. Freelance running the fastbreak. Except we did with No dribbling. 5 man passing downhill They were game planning against our motion offense all year, so our Belichickesque coach had us practice their freelance game all year to surprise them at their own game. Good times We didn't even need advance analytiics to beat them
I'd also like to say that I have been very blessed by basketball After high school, I went to Rice to witness Ricky Pierce's last year when he was the NCAA's leading scorer. After that, Phi Slamma Jamma came into Autry Court. I'm like, ****, not even Bobby Knight can that at their game. Then the Rockets drafted Akeem Fast forward 20 years, then Clutch started the internets best fan-based sports site. And it was about basketball starting with Mario Elie. Too awesome Just blessed
My primary sport is Judo but basketball is my favorite team sport and the team sport I've played the most. Unfortunately age and nagging injuries have really sapped my ability to play basketball and it is very rare these days that I play. I miss these days that I could just go out to the gym or the park and spend a couple of hours just playing pickup with almost anyone.
I probably like watching Football a tad more than basketball, but I think the NBA is the most fun league to follow. The Rockets are also my favorite sports team so that helps. Golf and basketball are tied for which sport I enjoy playing the most.
Favorite sports to watch are basketball and football. Probably equally. As far as as playing goes, that would be golf.
