http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source...-220750607.html;_ylt=AwrTHQ2CD1RUvVcA5yrBGOd_ Oops, missed the other thread. Anyhow... A reminder: James Harden has 4 yrs, $65M left on his contract.
Think about how the owners get paid, then think about how hard it would be to replace his production, then it will make more sense.
This is like a Parsons/Ariza deal. He is not even worth half of that. I'd rather have Wesley Matthews (Ariza) at 8 mil then Thompson (Parsons) at 17.5 mil. Take away Curry from that team and he is a nobody.
doesn't really pass, isn't really a play maker, doesn't draw a double team, doesn't get to the free throw line... worth every penny.
How is thompsons contract 4year 70 when Haywards max was 4 and 63? Is the difference solely due to the hometeam max?
That's just terrible. Max he would deserve is 4/$48 and even then that's overpaying him. Now we wonder why some franchises stay in mediocrity.
isnt the cap supposed to raise in like a year or two? looks bad now...but in a couple years it may not look as bad
Mostly due to the expected rise in salary cap, I think. Hayward's deal starts this year and Thompson's extension kicks in next year (he is still on the rookie scale for one more season).
