I wish I could watch Broadchurch for the first time again! Holy ****, I loved that show. Thanks for the recommendation. He was absolutely the best part of season 1 of Bloodline, which is why I'm having a hard time getting motivated for season 2.
Very tense at the end. Good season but I'm not sure it has two more in it. The third should be the last. They made Danny a lot more sympathetic this season with his motivations. I'm a bit conflicted with how it jives with his character considering how spiteful he was in season one. One question I have: Spoiler How did Gilbert get the tape?
*SPOILER* Danny did all that he did to try and ruin his family, the ones who ruined his life and put him through everything. Gilbert is the guy Lowry worked for as well as the guy bossing Kevin around by the boats.
Spoiler Ah, that makes sense. I didn't connect that Gilbert's shady guy was the one who bossed Lowry early in the season.
I watched the first two episodes of season 1. So far it's just miserable people behaving miserably to each other. Does it get better?
Yes, very good but all these people are terrible human beings. So if you don't like what you've seen so far you may not enjoy the rest of it.
Finished watching season one. What a bunch of booze hounds. I've never seen so much alcohol consumed on TV. These people don't do anything without drinking beer or hard liquor. It became comical at some point. Before I start watching season two, I must say it seems like this isn't going to end well for pretty much all the characters. I mean these are some pretty messed up people. I don't even know if I want this to end well for these people. Kinda reminds me of Breaking Bad where you know how it probably has to end.
This show is ridiculously good. Do not understand the lukewarm comments. Chandler should win best actor for this. Must be a bunch of fans of the gay Game of Thrones crap.
I only made it through episode 1, season 1 for the same reason. I knew the story wasn't going to hold interest for me. It was well done and acted. Glad I gave up. Was checking in to see if season 2 changed any from that story perspective. Guess not.
The story gets really good once it picks up on the drama, but it didn't happen until halfway through season 1. Most viewers have agreed it was a slow burn in season one, but picked up well. The first half sets the tone and setting, but takes too long to dive into the bigger plot. Summer is a good time to watch it when there's nothing else on. That is if you give it another shot.
Just watched the first two episodes and I'm kind of lost maybe I am not focused on it enough but . . .it just seems meh and all over the place I hate that they talk around things "I want in on .. . . THE BUSINESS. . .. " D*mmit what the FRICK do you all do already! Rocket River
I was an avid watched since I'm a big fan of Chandler since Early Edition...but it's too often that they come across as a bunch of whiny babies. "what happened to Danny" and how he was beaten by his dad even 30 yrs later is too central on the show.
Thanks for reminding me. I need to finish season two. Part of me wants all the characters to take a ride in a hot air balloon, and crash into some power lines.
I put it off and never watched Season 2. I loved One. I love Ben Mendelsohn, but most all of the acting was top-notch. So you're saying "watch it"?
