I'd say that he lost credibility with his monster contract which handcuffed the Lakers into luxury tax land. Then his injury...
Harden is not as good as Kobe prior to the achilles injury. Kobe has not played a healthy season since the injury so it's hard to say if Harden is better than him now, but seriously, Harden is a very good role player who has been somehow thrusted into a role of superstar because they run iso offenses to him and Morey likes to brag that he has acquired superstars. He's no better than Jamal Crawford as all he does is score and play zero defense. Crawford would drop 30 a game if the Clippers ran all the plays iso to him. In reality, Morey should have matched on Parsons and just called him a superstar too. Is he calling Jason Terry a superstar too?
At this point, it's not really Harden that Kobe is competing with, he's just not that caliber of player anymore, he's more in the, is he a top 5 player for his position group now.
Who cares about their career, MJ won 6 titles would you trade Harden for him right now? The present is all that matters, and to be honest the only ones who still see Kobe as "the best" would be Laker/Kobe fans. I don't know if Harden is the best (IMHO not until he plays D), but it certainly isn't Kobe dude can't even play 1 season without breaking down.
As much as I dislike Kobe, the comparison is not fair. The writer should compare Haren to Kobe at the same age or same NBA experience. On that regards, Haren is not even close. Relying on FTs to score will never work, especially during the PO.
One day people will realize that this statement is ridiculous and that every elite scorer relies on free throws. One day.
I get that you didn't start watching basketball until Rinsanity but please refrain from posting further until you learn a thing or two.
