I know the McGrady fiasco is going to matter more than the draft, but what the hell. At least the Rockets might gain another prospect at #55 and send him to Europe or NBDL to come back in a few years.
Isn't there a whole forum for the NBA Draft? I know, it doesn't get as many views as the Styx forum, but hey...
Whatever happened to that 7 footer Russian dude, Ivan Chima-whatever who thought he was going to be the best thing to happen to the NBA? Haven't heard much about him lately...
My source says the chances of Dwight Howard going #1 is hovering at 99.9% right now. (Says Okafor: "So you're saying there's a chance...")
He dropped out of the draft and opted to play in Europe after learning that he's free-falling on everyone's draft board.
TxStoke's Mock Draft #1 Orlando - Dwight Howard #2 Charlotte - Emaka Okafor #3 Chicago - Ben Gordon #4 LA Clippers - Shaun Livingston #5 Dallas - Loul Deng #6 Atlanta - Andres Bedriens #7 Chicago - Luke Jackson #8 Toronto - Devin Harris #9 Philapelphia - Al Jefferson #10 Cleveland - Josh Childress #11 Golden State - Padvel Podkolzine #12 Seattle - Jamar Nelson #13 Portland - Sebastian Telfair #14 Utah - Andre Igualdo #15 Boston - Anderson Verajeo
I'm hearing that Dallas is going to get Pavel Podkolzine, but not with their No. 5 pick. They are talking to a few teams about trading down to grab this guy. Apparently Donnie Nelson adores him.
Call it Yao Envy. The positive news is that if this guy develops, we can avoid Cuban running a full court press on Yao when he's a FA. I trust Cuban exactly as far as I can throw his vault full of money (I couldn't).
Probably the Hou vs Magic trade won't happen. Magic selects to rebuild and wait Howard to mature. Damn
Wow. Kirk Hinrich may be expendable. The Bulls selected Ben Gorden with their #3 -- which leaves them with Gordon, Hinrich and Crawford. That's a lot of young point guards.
