The Blazers could turn out to be a good matchup for us - we'll see. However, I think the Rockets would have had a tougher time with the Mavs.
True, but this still ruins our chances for the WCF because we will have to play the Lakers most likely in the 2nd round. I'd rather take my chances with the Mavs and get a good 2nd round vs. Den/NO.
Now spurs are wonder if winning their last game is good. Watch these 2 teams beat the hell out of each other in the 1st round is enjoyable
i agree. the mavs kills us because they have so many players who can create off the dribble. jason terry, josh howard, dirk nowitzki, even jose barerra. they all stop on a dime and shoot the lights out. not to mention our biggest advantage against portland, brooks, would have his speed negated by barrera and kidd. blazers have really noone at guard who can create except brandon roy. travis outlaw is the closest but he's not as ice cold as jason terry.
NO WAY!!!! We would have been in MUCH better shape as te 2nd or 3rd seed. Now we have to face the Lakers in 2nd round.
But the Blazers beat Denver moving us the #2 seed and we would have played Mavs who would be 7. Of course, if we hadn't lost maybe Denver would have played with a desire to win that game, but that's a different story. Personally, I choose to think of tonight's game and not the debacle that the game vs.the Mavs was.
I wouldn't go that far; we played extremely well against a young inexperienced team. The Lakers have 3 all-star caliber players (Bynum, Odom, Gasol), and the best shooter in the league. Even if we play perfect basketball, similar to tonight, the Lakers will still find a way to stop us.
it wouldn't really matter who we would have played, we still have to beat the teams we play, whether they be portland, dallas, or the lakers, we're capable of beating any of them any time if we play well like we did tonight.
seriously, seriously doubt it. hate both teams but the lakers just have too much height and talent. if they shoot well from the outside, almost impossible to beat in a 7 game series.
