Seriously, if we ever get a Landry (2009-10) or Scola during his whole tenure here again, we would already be so much better. We have Dwight, Capela, Josh, Harrel and TJ who can only dunk and get close rang shots and sometimes that's even very tough for them.

I seriously hope Morey's priority is that PF who can shoot midrange shots at a good clip and potentially threes at a decent clip. We continue to get big men who just cannot shoot, which boggles my mind. D-Mo is the only one who has a decent shot at becoming a good shooter, but his set shot is very flat so that makes it tough. And staying on the court in the first place of course.

I'm not talking about the stretch 4 that is very hard to find and are usually not the best defenders (Ilyasolva, Anderson etc.). I'm just talking about hitting a shot from midrange / mid-to-long range.

It's not about this player coming in scoring 20+ a night

It's about coaches being able to have a better system. Look back at mchale when he had PPATT & MORRIS & got T.ROB (This was last of bigs who could shoot)

We actually use to have plays & would blow teams out with way less talent

Of course it would. That's why DMo did well last year. He had post moves and could spread the floor a bit. You need that and ideally a big who isn't scared of taking a midrange jumpshot. You don't need to do it a lot, but it is good to have a threat out there that defenses will have to respect.

I'm so tired of seeing our bigs catch a good pass just outside the paint only to try and back down their defenders into the paint or passing it back to a guard. Defenses know they don't even need to bother when our bigs catch the ball outside the paint. They NEVER take that shot. Having a guy there who is a threat and actually takes shots will do wonders for the offense. Worse yet, even the attempt to back down defenders into the paint isn't working all that well. Not one of our bigs has a good back to the basket game. Dwight will have it some nights, other nights he won't be able to hit anything from 3+ feet.

A big with some basic big man skills would be nice
