Interesting move. Hawks did need someone who knows how to pass and play non-iso ball from the perimeter. It's hard to judge the move until we see how good T-Mac is. ATL is supposed to be a popular city for players though.
he will give joe johnson a run for the money.... all kidding aside - if they loose JC he is a good pick up because he can still create. plus he is playing for a definite play off team, we might see a better tmac in the playoffs... history shows that he does show up in the play offs...
Well I was really hoping to see him in Bulls uniform, really. But it is what it is, at least Atlanta is a competitive team where he can get minutes. And I am really looking forward to see how good is he.
They will be making the playoffs if they are heathy, but I can see another first round exit lmao. Does he start at SF for them? Jeff Teague/Joe Johnson/McGrady/Josh Smith/ Horford
He's unproven. Why would anyone gamble by giving him a better contract? If Tracy proves himself he can stay in the league for another 2-3 years, if not then he should retire.
This is perfect for McGrady. A team that has little or no leadership on the roster with an easy, weakfish coach that he won't listen to. He can go there without having to adapt to anything and just be himself.
No doubt, but what I don't understand is that even with reasonable production last year with the pistons, he signed so quickly for so little with the Hawks. I mean, nobody else called?
