I know there's another thread as well, but this is just a comments thread for the article. Asik has stuck out to me the last couple of days and I spent Wednesday asking players/coaches what they thought of Asik so far. Here's video of their thoughts. http://rockets.clutchfans.net/3288/what-theyre-saying-about-omer-asik/
Thanks Clutch. I am starting to understand Omer a lot better. He is adorable. Love that guy, I followed him actively in Chicago & I said that he would be a beast from day 1. Glad to know that I was right.
If Morey was right, that if you extrapolate Asik's numbers out to starters minutes he is virtually identical to Ben Wallace in his prime, then this will be a very, VERY good signing.
thanks clutch. so far i have only listened to lin's interview & struggling to catch on asik's on interview. lin's quote is as exactly as jcf article XD but it's nice to listen thru a vid.
how is Omer compared to Tyson Chandler? sorry, only followed Lin and hence NBA for a short period, and Tyson is the only Center benchmark I can use.
He isn't as athletic is Chandler in terms of jumping ability, but there is potential for him to have a similar defensive impact.
Here Asik #1 fan. But again, its easy to look well when you have absolutely no opposition in front of you. Let's see how he looks against NBA starting centers.
Oh god. Even if you are being sarcastic, please do not make a Detroit Pistons to Houston Rockets debate.
all i heard is a fractured fibula http://blogs.suntimes.com/bulls/2011/05/asik_injury_forces_bulls_to_tu.html but some bulls fan says it doesnt affect him (2011)
