Pablo Prigioni and Jason Terry guarding Stephen Curry. Ugh. Maybe Nick Johnson has some magic in him. This team's Sam Cassel
Honestly hope PBev takes the surgery, he hasn't been good on either side of the ball this season. Plus Prigs is the best floor general on the team not named Harden.
As long as Bev can play in round 2 without risking his long term health, we're in great shape. That might be 20 minutes off the bench, but it might be all we need. I'm thinking that Dwight's impact on defense and offense makes Prigioni and Terry decent fits at PG and if we have Beverley to pressure people for 20-25 minutes a game we're in good shape.
I love him for his attitude and he's vital for getting under key guy's skin at times, but this year he's hurt us a lot by pressuring way too much, leaving our defense vulnerable, fouling at crucial times when it's unnecessary and just dribble, dribble turning into a crappier AB 1.5 on offense cause at least AB could shoot. From a competitor standpoint, hate to lose him, but still a good chance he will be back next year in a Rockets uni.
According to Calvin Watkins, pseudo-Rockets expert at ESPN, Bev's decision to have the surgery now or attempt to play through and have it later will come today. I wonder if that means he'll start playing immediately(well, not tonight but maybe Wednesday) should he choose the latter route.
I didn't hear him on the radio. But Watkins and Stein are confirming, so I guess we'll know something today. I hope he gives it a go, but I understand if he doesn't wanna jeopardize his future(wherever it may be).
The way Nick Johnson played D on Wall was comforting to see. He has some good lateral quickness and athleticism (as seen on the block).
Saw this morning that Pat could play but they are still trying to decide whether he will have surgery now or later. Either way, I find it really hard to believe Pat will be back on this team next year.
The thing about Bev is, given the choice he will chose to play. If surgery is inevitable, can they rely on Bev making a responsible choice when it comes to his long term health?
C'mon. Why are you calling him "Nick the Brick"? Just because he went 0-4 from the free throw line....oh wait.
this is what you get when you put a rookie in. people shouldn't be expecting much. he played well defensively but you're gonna get nights like these from a rook
I'm fine with his offensive output(or lack thereof). He was in the game for one reason only and he did a great job in that capacity. He'll need to work on his shooting this offseason, but I have no doubt he will.
definitely. a lot of it is just getting in a rhythm and being confident which is pretty difficult when he hasn't played.
