Love it, he was the fastest rising QB in this draft and we got him in the fourth.

This draft is working out well. brandt and Mayock had him much higher. Best available. Great time to speculate on a QB. Talent is there. Solid pick.

Big arm, limited mobility, serious accuracy problems. Huge hands.

Savage is like Schaub with accuracy and arm strength swapped out.

Average quarterback at best, I see no future with him at all.

I think this is a real steal. A kid that bounced around to three different programs and still had the kind of production he did is pretty amazing. Normally switching coaches and teammates would absolutely tank a guy's production, but he found a way. His game reminds me of Flacco. Average in a lot of areas, but given protection, can really shine.

Agreed. Would have preferred Aaron Murray personally, but chances are none of these late round QBs will amount to anything at all.

Cannon for an arm, big frame, over 60% passer in BOB's system, 29 on Wonderlic.

    LOL. Spot on. Flacco! :)

The good part is, you can teach accuracy/timing.

I don't think he starts right away, though.

The guys on ESPN are all over this guys nuts, they all love him. Not gonna pretend to know much about him, but they certainly got me excited.

Basically a 5th round pick, so very little risk.

Yeah I'd be stunned if he starts right away. Flacco is an interesting comparison. That may be his upside.

Oh, and tell Jake Locker you can teach accuracy. :)

This. The kid was constantly changing systems, coaches and teammates, which is extremely tough for an NFL player, let alone a college one. He has a ton of undeveloped talent, and he could definitely have a bright future.

Chris Mortenson just said on ESPN that if Savage had had one more season as a starting quarterback, the feeling around some league circles is that he could have likely been a first-round pick.

I'm excited for B'OB to dig into the kid and see what he can do with him.

Like this at 135. Low risk, potentially huge reward
