Right Copy pasting 10 lines of a website is so much easier than copy pasting the url. GTFO. Have you ever met a Muslim?
Since when do out of context quotes mean anything? It's not that difficult to do the same thing the OP did with biblical quotes: Numbers 31:17-18 Samuel 15:2-4 When reading something, especially religious texts, you have to read it in context (what was going on when the verse was revealed). Many verses in the Quran were revealed after certain events happened (ie - the persecution of the early Muslims by the Quraish). If you don't, then you're simply reading something to conform to your own preconceived assumptions.
They try to attack the messenger and use the propaganda word "islamophobic". But they cannot debunk the facts relayed by that site and by IzakDavid.
That is a fair comment. The difference is that there are more people taking the Quran literally at this point in time and that there are more people taking to violence based on that. With regard to the historical religious texts, you do have a point, however.
1) This was 7 years ago. 2) On Sept 11, 2005, Ontario Premier McGuinty shut this down. 3) It has not been revisted since. Sharia law is just one the new boogeymen to scare people in flyover country who get their news from crazy talk radio.
From the sidelines here, it looks like that means y'all need a new argument. You haven't hit on a good one in this post. There are a ton more people in the US who take the Bible literally, and who are looking to impose Biblical laws on the rest of the country, than there are Muslims doing those things with the Koran. As for religious violence, that's not the point of the thread--unless, of course, the point of the thread was "Islam bad," in which case carry on (after considering Bosnia, Lebanon, Ireland, Wisconsin ...)
