I remember Bill Worrell saying Yao's toenail had fallen off the night we played the Bulls. He had his foot submersed in a tub of betadine for the infection.

Matt, is it the same toe or is this a new injury? Damn, this sucks. Were cursed with injuries this season.

Let's see how much Yao means to this team. Of course, to be fair, Deke is a far better backup to Yao than anyone is to Tmac.

I think I'd rather have Swift starting in Yao's place. Lakers dont really have a dominant big man.

I doubt it is true, because if it is, we would have heard of it by now.

Dude it is true, the guy works for Sports Radio 610, so he should know more than most of us. I have never heard any Chinesse Media break any new news so why expect it now.

Well, remember the Juwan heart infection news last season? Most people thought it was April's fool because the confirmation came almost two weeks after sina brought it up.

Why not just wait before you challenge the veracity of a post, or poster?

Hasn't he had toe problems before this season but played through it?

Seems like justcallmejoe might have some inside connection with the club. He confirmed (though at that point it was pretty much confirmed already from the media) Yao missing a game with the flu: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=1655285#post1655285

And also first mentioned that Falsone got fired from the Rockets for striking a ballboy which other "insiders" backed up: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=1877174#post1877174

Still waiting for a media report, but if Yao is indeed out 2 weeks then we can probably add justcallmejoe onto the "insiders" list.

Dang, didn't Shaq have toes problems as well? The biggest of players being brought down by the smallest of problems. With the irony of it all, it's probably the pinky toe...

I'm so bummed out right now. If it's true that Yao would miss two weeks, our season is very much done. With Yao out, TMac are forced to do even more, and play more minutes and since he's not yet 100%, it's just a matter of time TMac is too tired and god forbid he might break down again.
