Time to strike, Murray. http://atlantadailyworld.com/201301163202/Sports/hawks-suspend-josh-smith-for-one-game

The Hawks are a mess, and I bet Josh Smith is getting frustrated being stuck on a franchise that constantly spins its wheels without going anywhere. Even though we haven't done much either in the same span of time, at least we're a young, dynamic team that gets along well. I think he would enjoy being here. D-Mo + Morris + protected 1st rounder.
pass. he's been in the league for a while now and he's reached his ceiling IMO. all athleticism and no brains to go with it.
Never been a fan. I always thought he would wreck shop once he developed that jumper. But he never developed that jumper. In fact, he really hasn't improved at all in the last 6 years. But for some reason, some folks on here think he'd suddenly step up his game once we acquire him. Give me a break. Pass.
Because Josh Smith is about twice as good as all of the power forwards on our roster combined. He would be a great addition to the team, and give us a strong rebounding PF who can run up and down the floor. He's also a really good weak-side defender, so when Asik gets caught out of position, all those guards that come into the lane won't get an easy bucket every single time.
I'm trying to win a title or at least set a foundation for a championship contender, not lock myself in to a 4-7 seed. Pass.
but adding Josh Smith, along with Harden, would probably make things a lot easier to recruit that TRUE stud to come join up. Both guys have a name amongst the elite players in the league, and they give us a dynamic foundation to go out there and start selling ourselves. We're trying to put some lipstick on this pig!
Would love him here. I think we can sign him for a bargain this off season. He has never played with a player like Harden (Johnson is not like Harden and did not help Smith's game). Harden would truly impact Smith's game in a positive way. Asik, Smith, Parsons, Harden, Lin would be a top 3 team in the west and San Antonio will be out of the picture soon enough.
Smith is not a strong rebounder. Yes he can run up and down the floor, but is a mediocre offensive player. He is a good weak side defender, but he is a poor man defender, and gives up a lot of easy baskets. I guess he is okay as a rental if the cost is low, but I just do not think he is very good.
