Well there is a lot of chatter that he likes Chicago and has been all season. That's a very real possibility. There is no chatter about Houston and so media people disregard it. To be fair to Chad Ford, people on here killed him for saying Dwight wouldn't come here two years ago when the Rockets were trying to trade for him. He was right.
ESPN covers their asses by having multiple "experts" pick different teams. Skip Bayless says Houston will get Melo or LeBron. Screaming Guy also has the Rockets as high likelihood of Melo coming here.
I really am starting to believe that if Lebron does indeed opt out... he's coming to Houston. Barring we get rid of Asik/Lin. Just makes too much sense.
I'm pretty worried that the Big 3 opt in. Melo goes to Chicago, Love to Boston, and Lowry and Dirk stay put. The Rockets could be left with basically the same core.
But we would have had a year to gel and the ability to resign Parsons and a MLE. Or we stand pat and just let Asik/Lin go next year... but this isn't an option... Morey will find a way to upgrade this team this summer while keeping flexibility for 2015 FA class.
That same core would be nothing to sneeze at. Just preach defense this off-season, and this same team could win 5 more games, move up a spot or two in the West, and reach the Western Conference Finals.

Anything Lebron does receives backlash. Wins ring? Backlash. Fails to win ring? Backlash. Tweets? Backlash. Answers question that the media asks him? Backlash. He should just say F it and do whatever he wants.
People don't understand how dominant this duo would be. It would be insane. This Houston big 3 would be far superior than the Miami big 3. Add in Harden and his 3 point shooting and it's not fair. Miami is big on name, but they are a rather empty roster. Wade is a shell of his former self...and doesn't fit well with Lebron anyways because he can't shoot 3s. He can barely even play in the regular season. Bosh was just overrated from the beginning, racking up stats on a weak unsuccessful EC team, and is merely a massively overpaid stretch PF. Miami has no center, which is the most important position in bball. Riley could not draft to save his life. Spo is a terrible coach and the Miami owner is so cheap he won't pay luxury tax. He amnestied Miller, refused to use the mmle this year etc. Houston trounces Miami for every possible basketball reason. Also Texas has no state tax just like Florida....Houston is also a bigger and more active market.
Houstons strip clubs are kind of awful. I know he doesn't want to have another Decision fiasco, but more so than that I know LBJ doesn't want to get bounced out in the playoffs every year again which might start happening in Miami. Even though the East is much tougher, we'd become instant #1 title contenders
