Harden:"I’ve ..started that recruiting process"...Who will he ask to join the Rox?

Superstars in this league: Lebron, Durant, Melo, Dwight, Kobe are locks. Chris Paul? Dwade? Kevin Love? Those are the "maybes". There are not many superstars in this league, but it is nice to have a young star. People still improve. Look at Lebron: he was a superstar, and still got better. Hakeem made a leap into one of the most unstoppable forces in nba history well into his career. Many stars/superstars improve, why would Harden not?

Chris Paul is the best PG in the NBA though. Being the best at your position makes you an automatic superstar because you will win your matchup every single night mostly.

I think that is why some of us are excited about Harden because he has a shot to be the best SG in the NBA when he's about 26-27.

 

After tonight, James Harden needs to get to work! Contact the friends you just made in the Olympics and discuss how fun it will be to play together when their contracts are up. Wink a lot or something.

If T-Mac had said this same idea (the current team isn't good enough, we need someone else), he would have been vilified, period.

I'm all on board to see if Harden can get someone else here, though. I like the competitive fire.

If tmac said it, is not even relevant Mac asked to come to Houston to get more help (Yao) so that doesn't even make since. last time I checked we did not have Yao Ming anymore nor a single player that's close to how good he was. I'm pretty sure if we did have a Yao caliber player on the team harden would not be saying that. he'd be thrilled and talking championship. Harden needs an elite big man once we get that morey will do what he does best and surround the foundation.

He's easily the best Point Guard in the league and makes any team a playoff threat.

 

Love publicly came out and said that he was tired of being the only allstar not to make the playoffs.. he's unhappy there... lets hope morey can work some magic :grin:

Harden should let the GM do his job and concentrate on his own job which is playing basketball. Hopefully he learned something about ball movement last night.... 2 players don't win championships - it takes a team!!!. Anybody see the game last night????

 

The GM has been doing his job and it took him 2-3 years to get a player of Harden's caliber. If Harden can recruit and expedite that process why in the world would we want to tell him to stop?

 

Yes I did and it is obvious that the best team basketball is being played by the Spurs. But that has been true for several years. But it takes time, maturity and coaching to reach that level. Not three months. Maybe not even three years.

 

Why in the world??? He's a basketball player not a GM. It's basketball season not the off-season. He's being played to play and has another game tonight. Did you see the game last night??? Plenty of work to be done. He was great on offense but his defense is poor. He's not a coach either. Want him to turn into a Melo who thinks he's the coach and the GM???

 

You realize these guys don't play basketball 24 hours a day right? They have plenty of time to call and text friends like everyone else... I don't think he's taking time off from practice to go recruit another superstar.
