It was a dud. No dance contest. Rookies played musical chairs instead. Patterson, Taylor, Hill, and Lee were only rotation players to scrimmage until Brooks sub'd in for Patterson. Organization was lacking too. One door into the arena and then only two sets of doors were open for entrance to the seating sections. Huge traffic jam. Fans were allowed to sit in one of 5 sections once in the seating area.
Man, for once I'm glad I didn't go to an open practice. Most years they sound fun. This year it sounds like it sucked.
It did suck. If you weren't one of the few that could get autographs, you might as well not show up. Only the new guys played and they were just all messing around. Poor organization indeed.
I got there at about 3:15. It sucked ass. They said park in the garage, which was cool. Except they didn't open the Bell St doors, they said go around to Labranch. If I ****ing knew that, I gladly would have parked on the side of the street. I wouldn't have to wait in the damn garage. I hate parking in garages for that very damn reason. I mean, it's ****ing Sunday. Parking is free on the street. Getting ready to upload these videos to youtube. I only shot two quick ones.
I was there. the event definitely could've been better. everyone there stood in line forever it seemed like. some guy, think he was a rowdy, was trying to get the people in line pumped up by doing the wave and shouting chants like 'Red Rising'. then once they let everyone in we stood all bunched up in front of a door waiting for them to open once again. when everyone got in and seated for the most part, it was already pass 3:00. the 'practice' didn't last long, no more than 40 to 50 minutes, but I still enjoyed it cause it was the Rockets. I took pictures and might post them soon.

Today was a great preview of the Rockets defense. that was Rowdy South Park Satan with the Jordan Hill jersey doing most of the chant leading in the line. He's awesome. He was a big part in helping getting a wave going in the line earlier as well as the front half chanting houston and the back half chanting Rockets. I showed up around 8:45 am with him and another rowdy, we shot hoops until we saw another group show up. Then we were like ah we got to go sit in line! so technically we were the first there, but the other group sat down first. They brought a portable radio to listen to the Texans game, so that was cool. NBA China interviewed some of us, and I got to meet a bunch of really awesome people in line for the 5 1/2 hours we were there, including some girl who I swear must be Yao's biggest fan. I dehydrated myself yesterday and today so I wouldn't have to use the restroom during that time. We couldnt have gotten better weather for today- nice breeze. So we got the autograph passes, which was the best part. 2nd best was hitting up the team shop, got 2 $5 shirts and a pair of retro socks. If you didnt get autographs, it wasn't worth going to. I had a great time seeing rowdies and bumping into a few clutchfans. Autographs was frustrating. I brought a bunch of jerseys to get signed, but they said all of the players (each line had 3 or 4 players) have to sign just one item. So I had them sign a hat- Bud, Scola, Patterson, and Chase. I had with me right there a kentucky jersey with 54 I sewed on and a Scola jersey. So I stood there and showed both Patterson and Scola my jerseys but they werent allowed to sign them. Luckily, I caught Scola later as he was leaving to get him to sign that jersey.
You got Budinger to sign it twice, nice!! I only got one autograph from Chase, Taylor, Scola, Pat and a Scrub....
It was funny once. Now its just getting annoying. It's pretty evident we're NOT getting Melo. So please take your man crush somewhere else.
You could have just trimmed to the last 13 seconds of that... Was that AB? He got really high in the air!
